Customers

This section allows you to view, edit and create Customers.

Overview
At the top are 2 buttons for either creating a Customer from scratch or for importing an existing list of clients from QuickBooks as Customers.
Below is the main table that, by default, lists all Customers currently in your system.
Create Customers
Create New Customer

Clicking the Create New Customer button brings you to the appropriate form page. Only the Customer Name is required but the more info provided, the more useful this profile will be throughout the TrackTrade system.
Import From QuickBooks
If your company uses QuickBooks and you already have customer/client details kept there then you may find it more convenient to use this feature to import that list directly instead of manually re-entering each one.
You will need to connect to a QuickBooks account first. Head to Settings at the bottom of the sidebar and then to the QuickBooks tab to link your account.
Once connected, the Import From QuickBooks page will bring up the Customer Mappings form. Here you can manage the individual links between QuickBooks Customer on the left and TrackTrade Customer on the right.
You have 3 ways to denote the relationship in the drop down on the right:
- Don't Import to TrackTrade - I do not wish to create a link from this QuickBooks Customer to a TrackTrade Customer at this time.
- Create in TrackTrade - I wish to automatically create a new TrackTrade Customer based on this QuickBooks Customer.
- Existing TrackTrade Customer - I wish to link this QuickBooks Customer to an existing TrackTrade Customer.

The Default Option buttons at the top allow you to set all drop-downs where a relationship does not already exist to that selection. This may be useful for first time import when you need to process many Customers.
Select Save Customer Mappings when done to save your choices. Any Customers you set as Create in TrackTrade will then be automatically created in TrackTrade based on their QuckBooks data.
View Customers
The table view shows Customer details at a glance. Supports filter, search and export options.
Clicking the Customer Name link takes you to their Staff Profile.
Notable Columns
Quick Books - Marked if this Staff member is linked to your QuickBooks. Blank otherwise.
Portal - Marked if this Staff member has elevated Portal access. Blank otherwise.
