Glossary

Terminology used in TrackTrade.


TrackTrade Basics

Job - A job is a block of work to be worked on by one or more staff members.

Customer - The client that you are doing the Job for.


Staff - Staff are the users who will interact directly with the TrackTrade software. There are 2 types.

Office Staff - An admin who will manage and process Jobs and other related data within TrackTrade.

Field Staff - A worker/contractor who can be assigned to a Job and will update that Job live as the work progresses.


Overview - A page focused on live, visual information about ongoing Jobs.

Supplier - A company that takes Purchase Orders and supplies materials for a Job.

Recurring Job - Simply a Job that you expect to be repeated on a regular basis, eg. weekly window cleaning or other regular maintenance. This saves having to recreate the Job manually each time.

Workflow - A Workflow is a custom form that Office Staff can create for Field Staff to complete that is tailored specific to that Job. This helps guide the contractor to capture relevant data (eg., safety checklists for inspectors) as they work the Job.

Visit - This refers to a physical trip to a Job site. A Job must have at least one Visit.


Financial

Quote - Your standard financial quote, an outline of the work to be done for the Customer to sign off on before the Job starts.

Purchases - Purchase Orders for materials.

Invoice - The reciept for the Job completed to be sent to the Customer.
